Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation (CNR), a member of the CenterLight Health System, is a multi-faceted, 320-bed skilled nursing facility. CNR was the first nursing home in New York City to adopt the "neighborhood" concept, setting new standards for person-directed care and giving residents greater independence in matters of daily living. This type of concept fosters an environment where each individual’s needs are respected and met.
CNR continues providing groundbreaking elder care through innovations such as an environmentally-friendly facility; a horticulture program; computer access for residents including training, 24-hour Internet access, email and live video conferencing; and a music therapy program managed by our network affiliate, the world-renowned Institute for Music and Neurologic Function.
